Charity Trek to Everest Base Camp

Fundraising for Aberlour Child Care Trust

PLEASE, PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP, KINDNESS AND GENEROUSITY!

In December 2005 I plan to undertake a trek for charity to Everest Base Camp. For this trip, I need to raise £2650 for Abelour Child Care Trust. Aberlour (www.aberlour.org.uk) is a Scottish Charity that works with and for children, young people and families who need additional support, to promote their development and wellbeing.

Research shows that that caring people are less likely to experience depression and anxiety than those who are self-centred so do yourself a favour and give a helping hand. Your mental health will thank me for it!

I am planning a number of events to reach this target. I have already run (more of a jog/walk really) a half marathon (time 2hr 17min - not bad for the first one!) and 10k and plan to do this again this year. I've also raised money by selling off my belongiings at car boot sales and selling Christams cards. Next, I plan to hold a band night. Watch this space for more details!

My 30th birthday is fast approaching (1st March) and I am dreading it. So those who pity my old age, dig deep and give me some cash. Those who are jealous of my youthful vigour and pity my immature foolishness, also dig deep PLEASE!
